Release 3.0 · Day 5 — Traveller V2: Plan a Whole Week's Routes in Four Steps 🚐
Multi-day visit planning, AI-ranked customers, and a side-by-side cost comparison between day trips and overnight tours.
Every minute a rep spends on the road costs money. Every customer they should have visited but didn't, costs more. Traveller V2 plans up to a full week of customer visits in a guided four-step wizard — and tells you whether it's cheaper to drive home each night or stay over.
🧭 The wizard, step by step
- Step 1 — Setup. Pick the rep, the planning days, the start and end points (drop a pin or use a saved pair). Set visit windows, dwell time, and a daily cap.
- Step 2 — Areas. Draw service areas on the map (polygon or freehand). Drag planning days onto each area.
- Step 3 — Routes. The system ranks customers by visit cadence (how overdue) and sales trend (declining customers get priority). A slider lets you bias one over the other.
- Step 4 — Review. Calendar preview with scheduled times. Drag to adjust. Save to the rep's calendar.
💰 Day-by-Day vs Span — and the actual cost
Traveller V2 gives you two routing modes side by side:
- Day-by-Day — return to the start point every evening. Best for local territories. Higher driving distance.
- Span — continue from where you left off, sleep on the road. Best for big territories. Lower distance, but hotel costs.
The wizard shows both modes' total distance + hotel costs so the choice is quantitative, not vibes.
🎯 Built to integrate
- With Smart Prospecting — set "discovery per day" to mix new leads into the route.
- With Territory Studio — service areas snap to existing territory polygons.
- With Henry AI — once the visit happens, the report writes itself.
💡 Pro Tip: Start with the AI's smart territory suggestion, then nudge the area shapes to match real-world geography (rivers, motorways, customer density). The system gets you 80% of the way; local knowledge does the rest.
From "I'll plan this Sunday night" to "I planned the whole week before lunch"
That's the change Traveller V2 is going after. Less time in spreadsheets, more time in front of customers.
