Prospecting lists go stale the day they're bought. The garages and parts shops you actually want to win are out there, not in some 2018 industry directory. Smart Prospecting finds them, filters them, and feeds them straight to the right rep.

🗺️ Three ways to discover

  • Prospecting Map. Open the map, draw an area, and the system pulls every relevant business it finds in that area.
  • Snap Activity. A rep is already on the road. They snap the location of a workshop they walked past — it becomes a prospect.
  • Route Planning. When a rep plans a trip in Traveller, the system can auto-discover new businesses along the route.

Three discovery modes, one pipeline. No spreadsheets, no manual import.

🧹 Smart deduplication does the boring part

The system compares every new lead against your existing customer base using:

  • Tax ID matching
  • Phone number comparison
  • Website domain matching
  • Location + name similarity

High-confidence matches are auto-hidden so you never see them again. Medium-confidence ones queue up for review. The leaderboard shows discoveries → conversions → revenue per rep, so the work pays off in numbers everyone can see.

🔁 Discover → Visit → Convert

Every lead moves through the same lifecycle: To Visit → Visited → Converted / Not Interested / Expired. One click on "Convert" creates the customer record, links the prospect history, and the system pings the rep automatically when that converted prospect places their first order.

💡 Pro Tip: Turn on auto-assign by territory so harvested leads land in the right rep's queue without anyone touching them. Combine with Territory Studio (Day 4) and you've got a fully automated discovery-to-assignment pipeline.
